Our Story
Heart & Hands Midwifery and Family Healthcare was founded by Honey Newton in 2014. We are an independent clinic that strives to provide access to high quality healthcare to anyone who needs it. Our core values include compassion, empathy, evidence-based care, collaboration and education. We passionately apply the fundamentals of the midwifery model to individualized care that includes the physical and emotional well-being of each person we serve. We are actively engaged in the community and strive to create a safe space for all people.

Honey Newton, CNM, FNP, DNP
Honey is a Certified Nurse Midwife and a Family Nurse Practitioner with degrees from Gonzaga University, the University of Utah, and Colorado Mesa University. Prior to becoming a provider, she served as a Biologist in Colorado. She is the lead Lecturer for Gender in the Graduate School of Nursing at Gonzaga University.
Honey started Heart & Hands in 2014 as a small, independent practice and is committed to providing the best medically available care to patients in all stages of life. She loves to spend time in the wilderness and run long races. She is the mother of 14 Foster/Adopted/Biological children. ​

Kendra Lloyd, CNM
Kendra is a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) and lifelong Montana resident. She earned her BSN and BA in Public Health from Carroll College in Helena, MT, and her MSN from Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, KY. Her nursing background includes labor and delivery, postpartum care, newborn nursery, and pediatric inpatient psychiatric care.
She is excited to join the Heart and Hands team and relocate to the Flathead area. Kendra is passionate about supporting expecting parents in achieving their childbirth goals and promoting health and wellness across the lifespan.
Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, caring for her houseplants, and relaxing at home with her golden retriever.

Heather Brook, PNP
Heather is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) and Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She recently relocated to Montana after nine years in Saipan, a U.S. commonwealth in the Western Pacific, where she worked in a pediatric outpatient clinic. Heather earned her BSN from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Minnesota.

Heather is passionate about primary care pediatrics, building long-term relationships with families, and supporting children through all stages of health and development. She also enjoys helping mothers and babies navigate breastfeeding challenges.

Outside of work, Heather stays busy with her three young children. She enjoys running, road biking, triathlon training, and exploring the outdoors, and looks forward to new adventures with her family in the Flathead Valley.

Kally White Wilson, MS, PA-C
Kally is a certified Physician Assistant/Associate & graduated with a Master of Science in Medicine from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2000. She returned to Montana after graduating and has worked in Northwestern Montana ever since.
Kally brings a diverse healthcare background and is dedicated to her patients. She provides care for musculoskeletal issues, promotes lifestyle medicine, and offers general family medical care. She believes in empowering patients through education and shared decision-making.
Before becoming a provider, Kally worked as a financial analyst after earning a finance degree from the University of Montana. Outside of work, she enjoys time with family, friends, and dogs, as well as being outdoors and traveling.

Heather Love, RN
Heather is a registered nurse with a master’s degree who collaborates with the Heart & Hands provider team to deliver Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapeutic Support. With over ten years of experience as a procedural nurse and lived experience with pregnancy-related trauma, her work is informed by a deep commitment to mental health advocacy and health equity.

Heather holds a certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies from Naropa University’s Center for Psychedelic Studies and believes these therapies, when used intentionally alongside other modalities, can support profound healing. At Heart & Hands, she provides comprehensive ketamine-assisted care, emphasizing preparation, support, and integration while helping clients access their own Inner Healing Intelligence. With experience supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addiction, Heather creates a safe space for meaningful healing, guided by the belief that “the only way is through.” — Rosalind Watts

Chris Skieens, CNM
Chris is a Certified Nurse Midwife who received her MSN from Frontier Nursing University in 2018. Prior to entering midwifery, Chris was a labor and delivery nurse for 13 years. Her focus is to help empower birthing people and their families with care options, informed choice, self-determination and shared decision-making, with respect, and in a safe space.

Chris also provides well-woman care, contraception, preconception, and she is passionate about serving the LGBTQ+ community in a comfortable space to meet their individual needs. When not working, she loves spending time with her husband, their son and two dogs. She enjoys creating art, live music, camping, hiking, skiing, and fishing.

Jeanne (Tremper) Baker, CNM, DNP
Jeanne holds degrees from the Frontier School of Nursing and Case Western Reserve University and has provided women’s health and midwifery care in the Flathead Valley for over 20 years. A beloved member of the community, she is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of health care providers and regularly hosts students from FVCC, the University of Montana, Frontier School of Nursing, and other programs. Jeanne holds hospital privileges at Logan Health in Whitefish and Kalispell.
With decades of experience attending births in the Flathead Valley, Jeanne is known for her warmth, wisdom, and compassionate care, which have made a lasting impact on patients and families throughout the community. Outside of work, she enjoys slowing down and taking well-deserved naps whenever she can.

Brian Bales, FNP
Brian is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience in the nursing field. He is commitment to improving health outcomes for families have established him as a trusted healthcare provider.
Brian earned his undergraduate degree in nursing at Carroll College. His passion for advancing his skills led him to pursue a master's degree in nursing from Walden University, where he specialized in family practice. Brian's approach combines clinical expertise with a compassionate understanding of his patients' needs.
Outside of his professional life, Brian is an avid skier and paddleboarder. Whether navigating the slopes or gliding across the water, Brian values the great outdoors.

Nicole (Bierens) Martin, WHNP
Nicole is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Women's Health, with a BS in Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University and a Master's from the University of Cincinnati. She has additional training in bioidentical hormone therapy, functional medicine, Ketamine infusions, IV therapy, and skincare.
Nicole has a strong passion for women's health, stemming from her experience as an RN in labor and delivery. She believes in the power of education and support to help individuals achieve their health goals. She uses her skills to treat the whole person and help them live their healthiest life.
When she is not seeing patients, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, being active and being outdoors, reading or just relaxing.
